Honest numbers
Three typical UK households, modelled with the same maths as our calculator — conservative South-East yields, no rosy assumptions.
| Monthly bill | Typical system | Yearly saving solar only |

Payback |
|---|---|---|---|---|

How we work
Free, thorough, and honest about whether we’re the right fit.
Design, savings, applicable grants. The price quoted is the price paid.
Our own team, not subcontractors. We’re here for the lifetime of your system.
Should you add a battery?
Two honest scenarios. The right answer depends on when you actually use power.
Solar only
Best when most of your usage — cooking, washing, EV charging — falls in daylight hours.
Solar + battery
Best when most of your usage is in the evening, or when you want resilience.
What customers say
They turned down a quote on our second house because the roof angle wasn’t right. That’s when I knew we were dealing with the right people.
Quote was the price. Install was clean. App was working before they left. Two years on and they still answer the phone.
Three quotes, one straight answer. James walked us through the maths, no hard sell, and we’ve had eighteen months of bills under twenty quid.
Quick answers
For most homes, no — rooftop solar falls under permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas, and some flat-roof installs are the exceptions, and we’ll flag any concerns in the survey before you commit. More on planning →
Shading hits output, but rarely kills a project. Panel-level optimisers and a careful design around chimneys, dormers, and trees usually recover most of the loss. We model your specific roof during the survey — if the numbers don’t work, we’ll tell you.
Yes — MCS, RECC, TrustMark, NAPIT, and Tesla Powerwall Certified. The full list of accreditations sits at the top of the page and in our footer. MCS is a hard requirement if you want to claim SEG export payments, so don’t skip checking this with any installer.
Panels carry a 25-year manufacturer performance warranty, inverters typically 10–12 years, batteries 10 years, and our workmanship is guaranteed for 5 years. We’re still here for the full lifetime of your system — just call when you need us.
We’re installers, not lenders, so we don’t broker finance ourselves. Many customers pay outright; others use a home-improvement loan or remortgage. We’ll happily talk through what we’ve seen work for similar households — no commission either way.
Typically 4–8 weeks from accepted quote to switch-on, depending on equipment lead times and DNO sign-off. We’ll give you a real date during the survey, and update you if anything slips — no “a few weeks” vagueness.
