These terms and conditions govern your use of the MJ Renewables website and services. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

3. Services

We provide renewable energy installation services including:

• Solar panel installation (commercial and residential)
• EV charger installation
• Battery storage systems
• Heat pump installation
• Related maintenance and support services

4. Quotations and Pricing

4.1. All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

4.2. Quotations are based on information provided during the survey. If site conditions differ from those observed, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.

4.3. All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Residential solar installations are currently zero-rated for VAT purposes until March 2027.

4.4. Payment terms are specified in individual contracts. Typically, a deposit is required upon acceptance, with the balance due on completion.

5. Installation and Completion

5.1. Installation dates are scheduled by mutual agreement. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timescales but are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control.

5.2. You must ensure the installation site is accessible and safe for our team to work. This includes providing parking, access to electrical supplies, and a clear work area.

5.3. Any building work, roof repairs, or electrical upgrades required before installation are your responsibility unless specifically included in our quotation.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1. All products installed come with manufacturer warranties as detailed in product documentation provided at handover.

6.2. Our workmanship is guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years from completion.

6.3. Warranty claims should be reported to us promptly. We will coordinate with manufacturers on your behalf where appropriate.

6.4. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, or failure to follow operating instructions.

7. Cancellation

7.1. For residential customers, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract signing, during which you may cancel without penalty.

7.2. Cancellations after this period may be subject to charges for work already completed, materials ordered, or costs incurred.

7.3. Commercial contracts are subject to individually agreed cancellation terms.

8. Liability

8.1. We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and employers' liability insurance.

8.2. Our liability is limited to the value of the contract unless otherwise required by law.

8.3. We are not liable for loss of earnings, business interruption, or consequential losses except where required by law.

8.4. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and designs, is owned by MJ Renewables Ltd and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

10. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation including UK GDPR.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1. We aim to resolve any complaints promptly and fairly. Please contact us in the first instance at info@mjrenewables.com.

11.2. As members of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), residential customers may refer unresolved disputes to the RECC independent dispute resolution scheme.

11.3. These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
