Roughly what could solar do for your bill?
Move the slider. We’ll give you an honest range — not a single magic number. A real survey is the only way to know for sure, and that’s free.

Annual savings range

Estimated payback

A note on these numbers. They’re a back-of-envelope estimate based on average UK consumption, South-East solar yield, current import rates (~28p/kWh) and conservative self-consumption (40–65%). Real savings depend on roof orientation, shading, your usage pattern, and the tariff you’re on. We’ll model it properly when we visit — and if it doesn’t pay back, we’ll tell you that too.
How we work it out
The maths, briefly.
-
Annual generation
1kWp generates ~900kWh/year on a typical South-East roof. We size the system for half to two-thirds of your annual usage.
-
Self-consumption
Without battery storage you’ll typically use ~40% of what you generate. With a battery, that climbs to 65–80%.
-
Payback
System cost divided by annual savings. Conservative kit budget: ~£1,200/kWp installed (varies by mount type, scaffolding access, and battery if you add one).
